PREPOSITIONS OF PLACE AND TIME: IN, ON, AT

Hi, everyone!

There are about 150 prepositions in the English language, but the first ones a learner is usually introduced to are IN, ON and AT!

For the ones interested in learning how to use IN, ON and AT when talking about places and times, take a look at what I have found:

1) A great video lesson on the prepositions of place IN, ON and AT, by Andrew on his Youtube Channel: the Crown Academy of English!

 2) And a shorter but equally good video lesson on the prepositions of time IN, ON and AT, from the Wall Street English Indonesia Youtube Channel!

I suggest you watch these lessons with a paper notebook beside you, and TAKE NOTES! They're really cool!

Bye for now! :D

THE OLD MAN AND THE SEA

As a language is also the books that it writes, I thought this would be a great start for this blog!

If you already know and love Ernest Hemingway's books as I do, you will agree with me, but if this is your first contact with his work, you won't regret the experience!

Hemingway was a famous American author who produced most of his work between the mid-1920s and the mid-1950s, and won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1954.

He published many novels, short stories and non-fiction books, many of which are considered classics of the American literature, but the novel "The Old Man and the Sea" is certainly a fine first step to get to know and to love this man and his work!

HI THERE!

I've been a teacher of English since 1995, but I've been learning English since 1975!

Yeah, it's been a long time, but it's been a great experience!

I don't know much about blogs yet, but with a little help of my friends, I think I can try to make a nice one where I can share with my friends, students and other learners of the English language what I've been teaching and learning lately...

I hope we can have fun and learn even more together!

Best regards,
Renata =)
